Join us for a daylong celebration of dance, education and culture. In lieu of the the culmination of our Dance For Us! program, we are inviting you to take part in our virtual revolution for the arts. Each hour of the day will be filled with rich morsels of culture, art and community exploring ways to change our world for the good. We look forward to seeing you in our virtual studios.

Raise your voice for a song of revolution with world renowned singer, dancer and choreographer Julio Jean then enjoy a brief Afro-Haitian class where you can learn the dances of the freedom fighters of the Haitian Revolution! Stick around for a brief performance from students.

Join a dynamic panel of artists for an intergenerational conversation about the bloodlines of Africa ever present in dance and music across the Caribbean with Alexandra Jean-Joseph, TaDeo Asojano and Julio Jean.

Bringing Forth the Bantu in Cuba

Dancer, choreographer and keeper of the culture, Liethis Hechavarria invites you to investigate the movements that revive the spirits of the Cuban people. With origins in the Congo & Guinea, get familiar with the Bantu roots of Afro-Cuban dances of resistance in a brief class and performance.

Across the diaspora, how do we move for revolution? How are our movements similar? How do they differ? An illustrious panel of artists will dig into radical notions of community and the way the body lives at the center of revolution with Brittany Williams, Jude M. Perry, Esraa Warda & Master Crees.
