Gold Workshop is a three-session interdisciplinary experience that combines dance, film and imagination. Inspired by the legacy of Breonna Taylor, “Gold” is a Black Woman Superhero dance film that explores Black American culture, ancestry and fantasy through dance. Using excerpts of “Gold” in each workshop, we’ll use dance to spiritually explore movements from Black dance vernacular, highlighting Milwaukee social dances. This series welcomes all movers who are curious, imaginative and internally driven to push past the physical realm and enter new territories through dance.
