Habari gani! Ujamaa! In honor of the Kwanzaa principle of cooperative economics, join Cumbe for our first Kwanzaa Marketplace! Stock up on your holiday gifts from a variety of local vendors and enjoy activities and immersive cultural moments. We invite you to unleash your inner Kuumba (creativity) and Kujichagulia (self-determination) as vendors will be showing you how to make fun gifts and crafts, through dance and music demos, how to utilize your new digs. Enter the holiday season with your Cumbe community and with your new wares. On December 22 we will also launch our Cumbe Salon, a space for community discussion, cultural exposure and idea generation. Our first salon will include an immersive lesson and dialogue on the seven Kwanzaa principles, including ways to carry them into the New Year lead by Iris Wilson. All ages welcome!

Want to become a vendor? Entrepreneurs, crafts-people, artists and more are invited to share their talents and products with the community. Cumbe is offering vendors the opportunity to create an interactive activity or demonstration during the marketplace. Sign up for either December 1 or 22 or both! Click the button below to learn more.
