Join in for a gentle Chair Yoga class to stretch, gain flexibility and strengthen the body in an accessible way! Practice includes seated poses in a chair and standing poses that use the chair for balance and support. Perfect for beginners, students will leave class feeling relaxed, grounded and connected to the body.
Heather D. Payne, founder and CEO of Yoga Finds Me..., is a Certified Anusara Yoga Instructor (World Yoga Center, NYC) whose heart-centered holistic wellness leadership is dedicated to serving individuals committed to enhancing their health and well-being to “live fully present and now.” The principle of her Yoga teaching is to lead by opening to “grace” through attitude, alignment and action. This same principle guides how Payne continues to practice with intention, supporting the natural unfolding of her own purpose-filled life.
Payne’s life-long spiritual journey is rooted in the ancient healing traditions of India and Ayurveda. Her pilgrimage and missionary trips to India have deepened her commitment to her spiritual growth. Through her devotional Yoga practice and discipline, she facilitates her clients’ self-cultivation and spiritual well-being. Payne believes that when given the right tools, a new creation is possible!
Payne has extensive online teaching experience. She currently teaches weekly online Yoga classes at the Harlem Wellness Center (NYC) and the World Yoga Center (NYC). Her Yoga teaching has varied from pool camp Yoga for kids and teens, chair Yoga for seniors and beginners and private Yoga sessions for individuals with specific needs. Believing that service is the true essence of Yoga, Payne has enthusiastically volunteered teaching Yoga to church ministries and community organizations committed to serving those in need.
Additionally, Payne is a graduate of the prestigious Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a certified Holistic Health & Integrative Nutrition Coach. She provides appropriate holistic, sustainable and bio-individual solutions to meet her clients’ needs. Her passion is to promote awareness, offer sustainable wellness strategies and empower individuals and communities.
