The Afro’Dance Emerges Showcase is a culmination of workshops covering five featured styles of Afro’Dance. Jeny BSG, the magnetic internet sensation, immerses us in the hottest moves of the moment. Angel Kaba, the festival’s visionary and creative producer, uses movement to tell stories and capture the emotions and events of our lives. Longtime Cumbe teaching artist, Eto’o Tsana, delivers the hip-notizing fusion movements direct from the Congo. New York native, Ghana Boii brings a unique style that takes us deep into magical footwork and syncopated beats of Afro’Dance.
Experimental Sabar with Babacar Top makes the connection between the traditional and contemporary through a mesmerizing fusion of movements.
