Studio Operations Coordinator (Part Time)

We’re expanding our crew and are searching for a responsible, performance-driven Studio Operations Coordinator who will take the initiative in delivering a superb client experience as both a team player and team lead.

You’ll help lead our studio operations team in creating a dynamic in-house and live streaming experience for staff and students alike, all to the sounds of Afrobeats, Soca, Reggaeton, African drumming, Samba, House, and so much more!

Our needs are immediate. Training will begin within the first two days of hire.

What will you do?

  • Assist in day-to-day studio operations and team leadership, including front desk shifts

  • Open and close studio, set-up/break-down Front Desk reception

  • Set-up, monitor, and break-down live streaming equipment

  • Monitor and maintain studio cleanliness and organization

  • Greet customers in a professional and friendly manner, email, register, and check-in students; receive payment via cash or credit card

  • Encourage repeat students with good vibes and an exemplary customer experience, leading the team in driving package and retail sales

  • Regularly check and respond to info email and voicemail inquiries

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, cash register, facilities issues, and more

  • Ensure studio supplies and other inventory are stocked and organized at all times

  • Help train and coach Studio Operations and Work Study team

  • Handle the unexpected (e.g. shift coverage, instructor gets sick)

  • Troubleshoot basic facilities or online issues and resolve client concerns

  • Help update MindBody class schedule changes, substitute teachers, and class rosters

  • Maintain product knowledge for all studio retail and class operations, answer related questions

  • Support our Teaching Artists with their class or technical needs for a smooth class experience; communicate between students, teachers and other admin staff

  • Support Director of Administration and Operations in maximizing operational efficiency

Who are we looking for?

  • Someone with previous front desk or retail customer service experience with increased responsibility

  • A staffer who can pay attention to detail and take pride in their work

  • Someone who can think on their feet and outside the box

  • Loves music and their playlists bang 

  • Team players can use an iPhone, iPad, Macbook, Android, or PC laptop

  • Knowledge of MindBody software and Google Drive is a plus!

  • Starting rate of $17.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • Part-time (20-25 hours per week, 4-5 shifts per week)

  • Three evening shifts, 4:00-9:00pm Monday-Friday

  • One Saturday or Sunday shift required, between 10:00am-4:00pm

  • Shifts average 5-6 hours each

  • 20-25 hours per week

  • Occasional special events
