Marketing & Communications Assistant
The Marketing Assistant & Communications Assistant works with both the Digital Marketing Manager and the Communications Manager to help execute strategies and various tasks. You will bring your great ideas and enthusiasm to create captivating content for e-blasts, social media and flyers. You’ll also join our team at in-person events and help spread the joy of African-rooted dance and culture.
What You Will Do
Produce digital content: Conceptualize, produce and post visual content for Cumbe’s digital platforms and ads; create digital flyers to be distributed on digital platforms and for teaching artists & organization events
Website: Update the website as needed, including redesign, keeping UX in mind
Design print materials: Using platforms like Canva, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create such as postcards, flyers, brochures, and signage
Email Marketing: Generate and schedule e-blasts to circulate news and announcements to our community.
Qualifications:
1+ year marketing & communications experience
Computer savvy
Solid problem solving and time management skills
Great interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong attention to detail
Highly organized
Location:
75% remote 25% in studio/at events in Brooklyn, NY
Compensation:
$19-21 per hour depending on experience. This is a part time position requiring 15 hours weekly.
