Pricing & Expiration Dates
Will you continue to offer donation options for classes?
YES! Cumbe is dedicated to making classes accessible to our diverse community and through special grants and other funding, we continue to offer select classes like Creative Caribbean Movement (online) and West African Dance (in-person) for donations. We are also dedicated to ensuring our teachers are paid fairly for their hard work and expertise. As Cumbe continues to expand our resources, we will continue to create programming to make African dance and culture accessible.
What are your current expiration dates for class, class card and workshop purchases?
All single class options have an expiration date of 4 months after the sale date
All class card and package options expire from the first date of use:
5-class card expires 2 months from first use
10-class card expires 4 months from first use
Monthly workshop packages expire 1 month from first use
One additional month will be added if we have less than 5 options for workshops available on any given month
Extensions may only be used once consecutively

May I attend indoor classes if I am not vaccinated?
Yes, however, it is encouraged to wear a mask.
Do you require students to wear masks in the studio and during classes?
To keep our community dancing as safely as possible during the on going pandemic, cases, we are encouraging students to wear masks; though they are not required.
Do you offer any masks or other personal protective equipment?
Yes! We offer complimentary masks for your convenience, along with hand sanitizing stations
What measures are you taking to ensure public health and my safety?
Being safe is of utmost importance for our Cumbe community. We have enlisted a few measures to help mitigate risks and increase our ability to create a safe environment:
Vaccination documentation is required of all staff scheduled for our indoor dance classes (front desk staff, teaching artists, musicians)
Staff are cleaning commonly touched surfaces and equipment before, in between, and after all classes and registrations periods
An updated fresh air intake and ventilation system was installed in our studio spaces in Spring/Summer 2021.
Hand sanitizing stations are available throughout the facilities

Indoor Classes
How many people are allowed in a single class?
Our current class capacity is 10- 25 depending on studio size.
Can I pay with cash in person?
Yes, we accept cash and credit cards payments.
Online Classes
I purchased an online class package/subscription, but you’re no longer offering the classes I like to take.
Cumbe offers a wide variety of classes for both in-person and online students. Stay tuned as our schedule is updated with new classes and hybrid offerings. We hope to accommodate our global community very soon.
